This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, what choices and rights you have, and how we protect your data — including specific details about SMS messaging, cookies, and mobile information sharing. The complete legal text follows in the Termly embed at the bottom of this page.

What information is collected

We collect information you provide directly to us and information we gather automatically when you use our site:

  • Identity & contact data: full name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address.
  • Submitted form data:the reason for your contact, any free-text notes, lead-magnet download requests, and questions asked on the daily Q&A call.
  • Transactional data: billing and order details when you purchase a UNA package or other service (processed via our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies & similar technologies:see the “Cookie & tracking practices” section below.

How user data is used

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries, deliver requested documents, and provide customer support.
  • Send transactional SMS and email — order confirmations, document delivery, scheduling, and 1:1 support replies.
  • Send marketing SMS and email only with your prior express consent (and only to numbers / addresses you provided via our forms).
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website, including security monitoring and abuse prevention.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for automated decision-making with legal or similar significant effects.

SMS opt-in details

When you submit a contact form or check the SMS-consent checkbox at purchase, you are opting in to receive text messages from Unincorporated Associations at the mobile number you provide. Specifically:

  • How you opt in: by submitting a web form on this site that includes a phone field and consent statement, by texting our number first, or by checking a clearly-labeled consent box during checkout.
  • Message types you may receive:appointment and order confirmations, document delivery notifications, customer support replies, daily 10 AM PST Q&A reminders, and occasional marketing or educational updates (only if you opted in to marketing).
  • Message frequency: varies based on the activity on your account. Typical members receive 1 – 4 messages per week.
  • Cost: standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact info@unincorporatedassociations.com.
  • Carriers:supported on all major U.S. carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc.). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data security and handling

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information:

  • Encryption in transit: all pages are served over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Form submissions are encrypted end-to-end to our servers.
  • Access controls: personal data is accessible only to authorized staff and vetted vendors who need it to perform their duties.
  • Vendor due diligence: we use reputable service providers (hosting, email, SMS, payments). Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
  • Retention: we retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. You may request deletion at any time (see “User rights”).
  • Breach notification: if a security incident affects your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

User rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (California, EU/UK, or other), you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Restriction & objection: restrict or object to certain processing activities.
  • Data portability: receive a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails or reply STOP to marketing SMS at any time.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@unincorporatedassociations.com or call (619) 603-0233. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Mobile info sharing statement

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information sharing related to mobile data is limited to subcontractors and service providers that help us operate the SMS program — for example, our SMS gateway (which delivers the message), our CRM (which stores the consent record), and our analytics provider (in aggregate, non-identifying form). These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your mobile information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

The categories of information we may share for service-delivery purposes are limited to: your mobile phone number, message content you send or receive, opt-in / opt-out status, and basic delivery metadata. We do not sell mobile information, and we do not share it with affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
